Happy New Year !

Well, 2020 was certainly an interesting year and to top it off a few days before Christmas we moved !

We are now living on the Isle of Wight. It had always been our plan to find a house over here and one came along. It was in the right place at the right price. We do still have the boat and plan to return when the weather improves (and lockdown restrictions allow!) to do some more cruising.

Isle of Wight

We have moved to the South West side of the Isle of Wight in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). It is also in the Dark Skies area and I’m really looking forward to getting out and doing some Dark Skies photography.

The area we are living is ideal for running so I’ve been getting out and exploring the area (in-between unpacking !). Each way I go from our front door is uphill so it will be very good training. One thing about hills is that the view from the top is ALWAYS worth the effort in getting there.

So, I think the house will keep us busy. There are always things that you want to change but I will say there is nothing that we absolutely need to change. We have had to buy things like a washing machine and TV (we didn’t have either !). At the moment not to bother with a dishwasher.

I’ll post some photos of the house when we are a bit more sorted and tell you a bit about the projects we have planned. These are just a few of the views all within walking distance 🙂
